(Tag found on Youtube)
1)What is your YT name/what is your name?
CraftinWife Amanda
2) How did you get started with crafting?
My dad worked for JoAnn Fabrics ( FabriCenters of America) distribution center in the 80s & 90s, so he was always bring home freebies and samples, from reward programs and employee sales. As kids my sister and I loved all types of crafts and really got spoiled with all the awesome products! In my teens I didn't craft much, and didn't really get back into until 2010 when my niece was born.
3) Fav. Crafting brand?
Any/All. I am absolutely not brand loyal, however Xyron is the best sticker maker out there, and I don't know what I'd do without my Sizzix!
4)Fav. Color?
Purple! However in crafting I love all colors.
5) What is your crafting style?
I wouldn't say I have a specific style, other than I know I don't like Shabby Chic. Anything else is good!
6)What is something you would like to try? (alterations/copic coloring etc.)
Heat Embossing, sewing, working more on coloring images, etc.
7) Fav. YT channel?
Craft wise? There are a lot of really good ones. I like Scrapbook.com's YT for new product information, and for awesome scene cards check out EmchantedSteph.
8)If you ONLY had $10 in your pocket, what would you spend it on and where?
Probably dies or stamps or paper at Tuesday Morning.
9)When you start crafting, what is the one item that helps you put it all together?
What/Huh?? Adhesive. Either ATG (Advancted Tape Glider) or Xyron.
10) If you would have never heard of crafting, what other hobby would you have picked up?
Hard to imagine, but reading, hiking, interior design, etc all come to mind.
11) What #1 item do you recommend the newbies to have?
Depends on the craft, but you always need good scissors!
Have a great day!

November Empties
Empties!
1) Amika UnDone Texture Spray~ I got this in a Birchbox and was already a fan of the brand, but hadn't tried this yet. Instant love! It works so well on my hair (fine & wavy). I currently have a few similar products to work through, but would definitely (re)purchase.
2) Hello, by Harvey Prince~ I've talked about this enough in previous blogs, but finally used it up. No, I wouldn't purchase.
3) Swisspers Take Along Cotton Rounds~ In my opinion all these are fairly similar, so I'm not brand loyal at all. Currently the White Cloud ones (WalMart) were cheaper so that's what I'm using.
4) Tokio Treats, Lip Smackers in Vanilla Ginger Cake~ No longer available, link is to current selection. I loved this and it lasted forever! Luckily I'm a lip product junkie and have plenty others to go through!
Have a great day!

December Birchbox!
I've not tried the creams yet, but I'm loving the mascara primer!
The Coastal Scents I was super excited for, but I find them just OK. The colors are easily blended, but not as pigmented as I was thinking they'd be. (The colors I got were my pick this month even though the card says different.)
The perfume this time is actually pretty decent, but I still gave it to my sister (she loved it). I really wish I could opt out of getting fragrance.

Yay! Birchbox!

Playing Catch Up, 6 blogs in 1.
I'll share in the Life Update, further down, but WOW has this last week or so been CRAZY! But first:
Recent Craft Haul(s):
All from Michaels post Halloween sale, except the 3 packs of 8x11in paper. Those are from Walmart.
Next up,
Beauty Faves & Fails:
Faves first~
Smashbox Eye Shadow Primer~ I bought mine from Birchbox in a smashbox sample set, with my points. This is the best eye primer I've used! Nothing budges with this primer, I've use it with "cheap" shadows, creams, etc. It all stays put all day.
LA Colors Chunky Lip Pencil~ (Various Colors) I was skeptical about these, especially since they were so cheap, but the colors are great and the formula is pretty good too. I got mine in a boxed set from Walmart. They are all very pigmented, and none of them was too drying. I did notice the more nude shades are a little dryer than the others, but nothing to severe.
Fails~
Harvey Prince, Sincerely~ This was one of my Birchbox samples in November. I can't stand the smell and was going to give it to my sister (she tends to like "old lady" perfumes) however I can't find it. I've been previously sent a different Harvey Prince fragrance (Hello) and that one was okay. I wish there was a way to completely opt out of getting perfume samples, but I've checked my profile to get them as infrequently as possible.
Now on to Product Review:
I feel I've been a member of Birchbox long enough to give a review on the service, so that's what I'm doing for this months product review.
As I've previously stated my Hubby and Mom got me a year subscription for my birthday and I received my first box in July. Birchbox focuses on skincare, hair care, and cosmetics, and is only $10 a month, which is why I chose this box out of all the others available.
So far I've received 25 samples, and made 2 purchases that were free with my Birchbox points.
There have only been 4 things I didn't love, 2 of which were fragrances (mentioned above in Faves and Fails). The other was due to the packaging issue with the Coola Setting Spray and lastly the body wash from this months box (Temple Spa La La Lagoon Aromatic Bath & Shower Gel) smells a bit "manly" for my liking.
If you are thinking about joining Birchbox please use my link:
(If you sub before Dec 9th your first box is only $5.)

My sister and I spent a weekend going through our makeup, and she challenged me to use this long forgot about eye shadow monster palette for a week, so this is featured in my look everyday from the 16th-22nd even if it's not pictured. (Made by Markwins Cosmetics and called an Eye Pad, however I'm sure it's no longer available.)
All clothing except the Monsters Inc Disney World shirt is from WalMart. If you have any questions about a product just ask in the comments below and I will answer it ASAP.
NOVEMBER LIFE UPDATE:
The begining of the month we did a deep cleaning downstairs and in the basement, got all the Halloween decor put up and got out the Thanksgiving items.
That first weekend we did a little Christmas shopping and had a Left 4 Dead gaming marathon.
The 14th we went out to my sisters and we went through her make up (where I scored 3 new eye shadow palettes).
On the 15th we had family dinner at Mom's and went through my makeup (long over due). Everyone went home with something, and a few things needed thrown out.
That Monday Chris was feeling a little ill, and we figured he had a cold, by Saturday he was puking ill and on the 24th was admitted to the hospital (we had went to Urgent Care/Dr, but they sent us to the ER (after waiting 2hrs)) He was diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia and finally released the 25th at 715pm.
Thanksgiving we went to my Mom's, did a little Black Friday Shopping online and talked to Chris' Mom on the phone. By Friday Chris was feeling much much better and we went grocery shopping and did a little Christmas shopping.
Saturday we put up the Christmas tree, then just made the rest of the day a lazy day~ watched Christmas specials and played games.
Chris has to go back to work Sunday night so we didn't do the outdoor Christmas decor, and now it's done nothing but rain since Sunday afternoon (it's now Tuesday).
Monday was a yucky day weather wise and it marked the 1 yr anniversary of my Dad's passing, just a crappy day all around.
Hopefully December brings brighter days!!
Lastly, Blog Schedule.
I'm liking this format and content, maybe a few bonus blogs in December too. Other than that it's going to stay the same as previous months.
Is there anything else you'd like to see?? I'm thinking of adding a hair style how to/product blog once a month, what do you think?
Have a great day!
