Bonus~ October "Looks"

 Hey Ya'll!

I thought I'd share my makeup looks, and share my opinion on a few products, for the month (that I remember to picture) before I re-do the everyday makeup shelf for November. Let me know in the comments below if this is something you'd like to see going forward.

I'm not sure I love the Lime Crime lip, with the more nude look I did from the HSN exclusive Too Faced palette. Separately I do like them both. The lip is moisturizing, without being sticky or transferring too much. The palette has a lot of nude & pumpkin vibes, but is not the same as the current one, and is no longer available.

This was a ten items or less challenge I gave myself! I probably cheated with the Lorac Santa Monica palette since it has a blush and highlight in it.  (I guess at the beginning of the month I was on a nude kick.)

I'm sad this Too Faced line is discontinued (as of posting they are still in stock for $5 ea). BH Cosmetics needs more love! Every palette I own from them is awesome.... and they're a drug store brand!

Two eye looks, same palette.  Juvia's Place is another super high quality affordable brand. Quickly becoming a favorite brand.

This last one was a challenge from my niece. She shared a picture that I had to use for inspiration to create a look. (Picture can be found on my Instagram.)

I had fun doing the challenges, and plan to do more in November!

October Birchbox

 Hey Ya'll!!

I really liked this month's box.

Chella Eyeshadow Palette~ I like the nudes, so far they seem to be pretty good quality. I generally don't purchase smaller palettes, but this one will be great for travel.

Davines Oi Hair Butter~ I've only used this twice, but it seems to work pretty well. Nothing I'd have purchased on my own, and probably won't repurchase this one. There are just to many products like it.

Luxie Beauty Blender Brush~ This is the second brush from the brand I've received. I really like them, but think $14 for one brush is more than I'm willing to spend.

Marcelle BB Cream~ Another one. I like it just fine, I have at least 3 of these so no need to purchase even if I loved this product.

Oribe Featherbalm Weightless Styler~ I've loved everything I've tried from this brand, no exception here. My only issue with the brand is it's kinda pricey.

Nest Fragrances Wisteria Blue~ I wouldn't but this. I liked it, but wasn't in love with it. There are far more fragrances I like that I'd spend my money on.

Do you get any monthly Subscription boxes? What's been your favorite new product?

Craft Storage Section #7

 Hey Ya'll!!

Section 7, as you're about to see holds 95% clear stamps! I may have an issue, lol.

The unit & surrounding area. AKA a big mess. The top holds empty picture frames, and empty storage containers. Along the side is empty scrapbooks.

First drawer has (surprise) stamps, and duplicates like more ink pads, tape runner, etc.

Nothing but stamps here, various brands. The majority from Tuesday Morning.

Last drawer is nothing but stickers. I did go though this once, but could probably do it again.

I need to do some more stamping/card making. I stopped because I felt like no one wanted them, but I should go back to it because I like doing it, and that's enough.

Jewelry Box Organization

 Hey Ya'll!

After I cleaned out the bathroom drawers I decided my jewelry box could use a go through as well...

This was all the stuff sitting on the counter top that I hadn't put away.

In progress. I got rid of any earrings that I didn't have immediate knowledge of where both were. No need to hold onto it in case I may someday find the match.

More progress being made. Nicer earrings, Holidays, Dangle, and Studs all separated.

All done! The sides hold necklaces and bracelets that are too big to fit up top.

Sorry this is such a short one, not much to picture here.

Craft Room Storage Section #6

 Hey Ya'll!

We're almost to the end, and I have to reiterate I definitely need to do a clean out again.

Onto storage section 6!

The main large section holds empty containers, and all my 6x6 papers.

In the blue lidded bin is more paint. It started out as just fabric paints, but has all kinds now.

The top of the other side is more fabric paints, and random tools.

In the slide out drawer is the tools for the Slice cutting machine, and planner stickers.

On the first shelf are molds, which I use for soap making, and some cordage for bracelets.

More molds, and perler beads.

Last shelf hold the rest of my molds.

The actual slice sits on the floor here.

The whole unit over all.

I think going through paint and markers is going to be my next project in the organization of the craft room. Where would you start? Share in the comments below!

Bathroom Drawer Organization

 Hey Ya'll!

After doing the hair do-dad's I felt like doing all  the upper bathroom drawers. ( I've yet to tackle the cabinets.) It started with just doing mine, but I went ahead and did hubby's too.

This is what was left on top of the counter after I threw away all the stuff that was expired, or nearly empty.

The actual drawer before.

Counter top after, could definitely fit some of this in the drawer now.

Sheet masks and small products.

After: leaving out what's currently open, but I'm not using right now (that stuff is on the counter currently).

Hubby's Drawer:
He had a few throw away items, as well as putting things where they actually belong.

All his stuff from the counter actually ended up in this drawer after the picture was taken, but that was just a facial oil and his Jimmy Choo Man Ice.

For future reference are you interested in seeing the items I toss? Do you want to know why they weren't used/thoughts/review on those items? Let me know!

Craft Room Storage Section #5

 Hey Ya'll!

Sorry it's been so long. I meant to take a week off, because I just wasn't feeling it, and that turned into 3 real quick. However I'm back, with part five of my craft room storage!

Under the desk:

This is a mess, I really need to go thru all the storage things next. Holiday items, ribbon, cardstock, all under there.

The units themselves are both from thrift stores, and I've had them forever. The kid one was the first storage item I ever had. it's served me well.

Drawer one! Adhesive items. Cardmaking is almost impossible without an ATG in my opinion, and I love all my xyrons for different stickers.

Second drawer holds all the bow making do-dads. This one especially needs cleaned out, since I hardly make a bow anymore.

Last drawer in the kids unit holds mostly card blanks.

The first drawer in the white unit holds the punches I decided to keep. This is one of the drawers I have gone through.

Markers!!! I have quite a few, but my favorites are Spectrum Nior & Copics. I'd like to try Ohuhu, I know they're much cheaper than the others, and have heard nothing but good things in reviews.

The final drawer holds some of my paints, and it's another section that needs gone through, and all the paints put in one place. Or probably two seperating fabric paints, and others.

I do believe this has decided it for me the next series of craftin blogs will be going through and organizing/decluttering the storage items. I don't think I'll do it straight through, I'd like to share some of my makes, and possibly some how-to's inbetween.

How does that sound?
Let me know in the comments below.

Hair Do-Dad's

 Hey Ya'll!

This was a harder realization than I thought it was going to be:

My hair isn't going to be long enough for any "cute" little do-dad's, or any sort of rubber band, pony tail holder, scrunchie, etc. for a very, very long time. Most likely a year or more for just the little clippie types, far longer for other stuff. I didn't really ever think that far ahead before now. So I decided now's a good time to clean out that drawer in the bathroom. A lot of it will get thrown away, the rubber band style I'll give to my Mom, and the niece is really into scrunchies currently, so she'll get those.

The Drawer:

What it looked like starting out.

What I kept.

TRASH!

Stuff for Mom, plus a few more hair ties I found laying around here and there.

Finally, the stuff for my niece & sister.

I remember giving all the newer hair ties away when chemo first started, but I didn't touch this drawer at the time. If there's stuff in here they don't want to keep that's fine, I just figured why not put some of it to use again rather than pitching it all.

I also found a few broches I though were misplaced, a brand new deodorant, and 5 razor refills. ( I use Schick Intuition, and have for years.)

It was nice to finally get this drawer cleaned out, it obviously needed it, but it was a bit odd coming to the realization that 90% of this (and items like them) I won't need/ be able to use for years.
