200 Get To Know Me Questions (1-25)

 Hey Y'all!

The questions can be found here:

200 QU's

1. What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? Spending time with family. Doing pretty much anything, playing games, hiking, watching movies, going to parks, etc.

2. What type of music are you into? I like a huge variety. Not big on big band, swing, heavy metal, or hardcore rap, but I'll listen to pretty much anything. Not loving most of the new pop, but I'm old.

3. What was the best vacation you ever took and why? I've been fortunate enough to take a decent amount of vacations/road trips in my life so far. My favorites are Disney, and then it's really vacations that were made awesome by the journey like the first trip with Lisa to NC, the trip with hubby and MIL that no one believed we went that far (VA to DE and NJ and back in 24hrs)... Fun trips like that.

4. Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why? The goal is all 50 states, so we need to start heading west.

5, .What are your hobbies, and how did you get into them? Crafting (Dad worked for JoAnn Fabrics Corp.) Reading (Mom always took us to the library, before we could even read.) Day Trips (We did those all the time growing up, hubby and I have always enjoyed just picking a direction and seeing where the day takes us.) Gaming (We got our 1st gaming system {Nintendo} from one of my Dad's friends, we really only played in the long cold NE Ohio winters, but had a lot of fun playing. Then Hubby was huge into gaming, and introduced sis & I to the Sims, yeah the first one.. We'd play for hours together. Now we own a lot of games/systems and play something at least weekly.)

6. What was your favorite age growing up? Hmm.. probably like 10-13. Still a kid but old enough to do some fun stuff without Mom and Dad.

7. Was the last thing you read? A Buffy the Vampire book, it was hard to stay into so I gave up and haven't picked a new book yet.

8. Would you say you’re more of an extrovert or an introvert? Introvert..

9. What's your favorite ice cream topping? Nothing. I like mint or cookies and cream, peanut butter, cookie dough type flavors so they don't "need" toppings.

10. What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Call the Midwife and Supernatural... I've seen them both several times.

11. Are you into podcasts or do you only listen to music? Music.

12. Do you have a favorite holiday? Why or why not? Halloween, because SPOOKY is fun. Christmas, because magical.

13. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Salad, or pizza. Different toppings would make it the most versatile food option(s).

14. Do you like going to the movies or prefer watching at home? Home. I can have whatever food/drinks I want. Pause it if needed. Have it at a volume less than bust your eardrums. Yeah, home is better.

15. What’s your favorite sleeping position? Usually I end up on my right side.

16. What’s your go-to guilty pleasure? IDK.

17. In the summer, would you rather go to the beach or go camping? Both are fun, but July/Aug in Tennessee is NOT camping season. It's too hot and humid.

18. What’s your favorite quote from a TV show/movie/book? LOL. Too many to list. Hubby and I like to quote movies and then play wrong answers only.

19. How old were you when you had your first celebrity crush, and who was it? Umm.. maybe JTT so probably like 13ish..

20. What's one thing that can instantly make your day better? Food. LOL. And family.

21. Do you have any pet peeves? Shitty drivers is #1. East Tennessee is full of them. (Bless their hearts!)

22. Which meal is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Dinner I guess. But I'm all for eat what you want regardless of the clock. Pancakes for dinner? Awesome! Chicken Sandwich for breakfast? Cool, you do you.

23. What song always gets you out on the dance floor? Nope. I dance at home, but not going dancing.

24. When you were a kid, did you eat the crusts on your sandwich or not? Yeah, most of the time. We weren't picky kids (sis and I) our parents let us develop our own taste.. there was no such thing as "kid food".  We had chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, etc but it wasn't labeled as kid specific food. Mom made one dinner, and allowed for 1 modification. You don't want sloppy joe's? You can have a hamburger. You don't like green beans? You can have a salad. For our breakfasts and lunches we got to choose whatever we wanted (within reason).

25. What activity instantly calms you? Breathe in for 5 sec, out for 5 sec.

These were actually pretty fun questions! I hope you enjoyed.

Have a great day,

Craftin' Wife

What My Craft Room Looks Like Right Now!

 Hey Y'all!

The current giveaway is still live through today, don't forget to enter (last Mondays blog)!

I haven't been in the craft room as much as I'd like, but I did straighten up some recently, and try to get everything put away for the most part.

It's better than it was:

12x12 Paper, stuff that needs put away, vinyl scraps, things that need scrapbooked, vinyl overflow, Cricut cartridges, 8x11 paper pads, and the few wood stamps I kept. The purple rolling rack holds blanks and vinyl samplers.

Heat Press station! On the floor is some office supplies Hubbys work was giving away. I have to find a space for them.

My desk, there's a lot here but I know where everything is.

Other side of the desk, and where my Cricut is now (it used to be where the printer is now, up top).

I don't think anything changed from last time I shared the craft room, til now.

Shirt's I've yet to complete, going to do that today.  I've destashed a ton of stickers and really could do more. I'd love a better storage system for stamp sets, do you have any ideas? Please share below!

That's it!
Any questions feel free to ask below!

Have a great day,

Beauty Tag (126-150)

 Hey Y'all!

Here's the next part of this Beauty Tag. I promise to have something else next Beauty Blog (Wednesday). The numbers are all messed up again, I've not figured out how/why it does that. These are questions 126-150.

  1. Have you ever used artificial tanning spray? I've use the Jergen's Lotion before, and I liked it, but don't care to appear tan enough to spend money on it.
  2. How confident are you about your skin complexion? It's pretty good.
  3. Would you ever use Castor Oil on your eyelash? For what? No thanks.
  4. Who are your favorite beauty gurus? I'm subscribed to a few, but I don't watch every video from anyone.
  5. How many types of products do you use on an average day? Anywhere between 0 and 10 is pretty average.
  6. Have you ever applied conditioner before applying shampoo? No.
  7. What’s your staple skin care product? Y'all know I'm in love with that Dior Eye Serum.
  8. Which hair care product is your favorite? I'm using Oribe Mousse now! Yay for hair long enough to style! It's a nice lightweight mousse that isn't "crunchy" but still holds well.
  9. Have you ever joined any makeup class? Does Cosmetology School count? Or Hair Shows?
  10. Which supplement or vitamin tablets do you take to manage your beautiful mane? Just a daily vitamin.
  11. Have you ever fallen in love with a particular product so much that you kept the product in your kitty even when it was finished? No, that just silly. Re-purchase it, or move on.
  12. What’s the most vibrant color in your closet?  Like clothing? Probably neon pink.. same for makeup actually, neon shades.
  13. Do you wear matching lipstick with your attire? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends on the outfit, and the rest of the makeup look.
  14. How do you choose eyeshadow colors? I set up an everyday drawer for the month by choosing things I haven't worn in a while, then I pick daily from there. I tend to go with a theme or match my outfit. If I need another color I'll reach into the drawer, but that's rare.
  15. In which way, do you love to wash your makeup brushes? I have a brush cleanser from Ulta, and one of those silicone mats (mine's from TJ Maxx). I try to do it weekly.
  16. What’s your favorite beauty app? Influenster.
  17. Which primer is your favorite? Primer is pointless 90% of the time. But I do like it in cooler months and use Porefessional from Benefit.
  18. Is there any ingredient in cosmetics that you usually avoid? Formaldehyde.
  19. What’s your monthly budget for cosmetics? I don't have one. I don't buy them monthly, and I don't need every collection out there. I also never pay full price.
  20. Do you support PETA friendly brands? Do some digging on PETA, and ingredients, testing, etc. I support being cruelty free, but will admit not all my products are.
  21. In the past few years, is there any brand that you stopped using? Nope.
  22. Three products that you always contain in your bag? Lip Balm (no specific brand). Which ever lip gloss/stick I'm wearing that day, I don't know why I rarely ever reapply. Lastly, oil blotting paper, the current one I'm using is clinique.
  23. Are you a natural soap lover? Meh. It's ok, but not something I use often.
  24. Which brand of soap do you usually use? Bath and Body Works, or Dove.
  25. Are you dealing with dark circles? Nope.

Have a great day,

Beauty Tag (101-125)

 Hey Y'all!

I decided to keep my everyday shelf the same for August, so here's the next part of the Tag Questions!

YAY! The numbers aren't off this time!

  1. Do you have freckles? I did as a kid in the summertime, now I don't think so. If I do they aren't visible to me.
  2. Have you ever tried to increase the density of your eyelash? No.
  3. Which brand of fake eyelashes lasts longer? I don't wear them, so I don't know. I would like to try out the real magnetic ones (not the eyeliner kinds) but I can't see myself spending much on them.
  4. Which cosmetic brand you have never tried? Becca... and since they are closing in September it seems pretty pointless to try the brand now.
  5. What’s your current favorite salon? I actually have a lot of luck at SuperCuts.
  6. How many glasses of water do you drink daily? between 7 and 16 ish.
  7. How many hours of sleep is needed for a beautiful and gorgeous looking skin? 7-9 is what I think they say is ideal.
  8. Heavy coverage, moderate coverage, or low coverage – what works the best for you? Light to medium. Full coverage feels yuck on my face.
  9. Do you use concealer on a regular basis? Nope.
  10. What type of eyeshadow pallet is your bae? One with COLOR and 1 or 2 nudes.
  11. Nude look or vibrant look – what do you prefer? Either, depends on the day.
  12. Have you ever tried any weird looking lipstick? Yes. Denim blues, grey, gold, purple... Usually get looks in small town Tennessee, but so what!
  13. In which look do you get a number of compliments? Warm colors... pink, peach, orange tends to go over well.
  14. Do you regret any product purchasing decision? I'm sure we all do. Mine is an old Physicians Formula mascara. They don't carry it anymore but the brush applicator was stiff as a board, and the product itself was a mess!
  15. What’s your best-bought product ever? In recent memory, Profusion Lip TInt/Oil. Love it.
  16. In which product, do you usually splurge your money? Foundation/CC/BB Cream. The drugstore ones just don't do it. I can't find a decent color match and they oxidize too quickly.
  17. Which brand of shower gel do you love to use? Bath and Bodyworks.
  18. Like your skin, do you feel it is necessary body exfoliator? On occasion, yes.
  19. Have you ever tried to wash your hair using clay? No...
  20. Which type of clay mask is your favorite? I don't really see any benefits from them.
  21. Do you believe that commercial products can really save your skin? "Save" no. Help out, yes.
  22. Are you facing any skin problem currently? Oily. But it's not been a problem thus far.
  23. Cold wax or hot wax? If you're gonna do, go with hot. IMO it works better and easier.
  24. What’s your opinion about Mineral oil? I don't have one.
  25. How do you treat skin tan? Moisturize.
What are some of your favorite products? Share below!

How I Do Mock Up's via PC~ Crafty

 Hey Y'all!

When I first started to take photos of my crafts they turned out pretty horrible. I'd like to think there better now, I know a bit more about lighting, and focus, as well as making the photos more interesting. I'm still no pro, and I like to get it done quickly, and easily, so I'm going to share what I do.

I use my phone to take the pictures, other than resize or flipping the angles I don't edit them. (Easy way, remember?)

I start with something like this:

I've added relevant clutter items, to make the picture more interesting. I also don't have a lot of money to spend on lighting, or props. I use what I have, this is why I take photos in the Living Room, it has the best lighting 99% of the time.

I then move the photo(s) to the PC (there are many apps that help with that, or there is always the old email yourself option). After that I upload them to Cricut Design Space as a Print then Cut image.

Click insert, resize to fit the screen nicely (usually between 9 and 11 inches for my screen) and begin design work.

After adding the design(s), I use the PC's Snipping Tool to "grab" the photo and save it to my computer.

Here's what I did with this photo:

July Looks (Makeup)

 Hey Y'all!

This month I decided to do something different, and tried out this challenge I found on a facebook post:

Overall I think I did pretty well, I skipped a few, and towards the end I totally gave up the challenge, but I did do my makeup more often.

2) Four products only.

Both the Supergoop setting spray and Profusion Lip Oil are about empty. I have another lip oil, but it's also close to empty. I love these, and for $4 USD they can't be beat.

1) Sunset Inspired.

8) Ombre Lip.
I don't love how this turned out. I think matte lipsticks are the better option if I attempt an ombre lip again.

12) Pinup Inspired.

*Decided to try photo editing on this one, not sure it's "me" enough..

13) Shades of Fall.

14) Neutral Eye, Bold Lip.

9) Purple Inspired.

A lot of Wet 'n Wild here, is it me or have they really stepped up their game recently?

15) Pink Inspired.

18) Smoky Eye (browns).

? Also shades of pink.

Doesn't fit the challenge anywhere.

No makeup look. Pretty sure I'm only wearing lip gloss here.

4) My "every day" type look.

Another 14.

26-ish) 80's inspired.

Hair cut & color. (Also no makeup and poor lighting. You're Welcome.) I need styling help, please leave your ideas in the comments below!

Overall I followed the prompt 11 times, and did my makeup a total of  15 times. I'd call that a success! Do you have any makeup challenges I should try? Let me know in the comments below.

What I'm Working On~ Crafty

 Hey Y'all!

I didn't work on much this month, other than SVG shopping. (Sites I use listed in a previous blog.)

Here's some of this month projects:

I totally forgot to take a picture before I washed it, so I took this, and in retrospect I should have waited until after I dried it and got the wrinkles out...

The white is glow in the dark HTV from Siser, and the peach is from Craftables. I created the simple design after being frustrated with only finding breast cancer SVGs.

The next few shirts have vinyl from either Siser (sparkle holographic), Cricut (neon) or Craftables (black, and holographic).

The Splash Country is my happy place, and Alien I designed, the other Splash Country is a modified Design Bundles SVG (The original is "Pool Hair {with a swim float} Don't Care".) I don't remember where the Hogwarts SVG is from.

I got some keychain blanks, and made this while playing around with sizing/spacing:

Blanks from Amazon, Vinyl is Cricut, Paint is Apple Barrel.

I received these Sally Hansen nail tool kits through Influenster, and came up with this:

Colors are- Wet 'n Wild 731A Pretty Peas, and China Glaze* 1708 Delta Darlin' *Color no longer available, in my opinion the closest is Tangerine Heat.

The tools were easy to use after I got the hang of it. The nail polish wasn't quite so streaky looking in person. I thought they looked like Mickey heads pretty recognizably, my niece said more like hearts to her.  Either way it was fun!

Lastly are some photos I took at Natural Tunnel Railroad Day/Natural Tunnel State Park,  Duffield, VA.

What have you been working on? Share in the comments below!

Have a great day,
