Dresser Clean Out/Organization

 Hey Y'all!

This is more of an organize than a clean out, but I do have a few items to donate. I've also made an adjustment to the blog schedule. It's still going to be far to hot to switch out the wardrobe any time soon. I always attempt to jump the gun there. I know it's generally October before I can swap them out, but I still want to do it in September. 

Let's get started with this organization:

First off are the few items I'll take to town and donate this week.

There isn't much here, just a few shirts that I don't wear often enough.. or that I have something similar to.

Dresser top & drawers:

Oof. This is a mess.

Poor mannequin, she's been tipsy for awhile.

Capris & Shorts (top) before and after.

Only missing an additional pair of short that are currently in the dryer, but they'll fit in nicely.

Pants! Come cooler weather the lounge pants stay here and jeans move to the shorts drawer.

Organized is so much nicer, now to keep it that way.

PJ's were a complete mess.

I decided to fold the tops and bottoms together, I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. It takes up much less space.

Shirts looked like the drawer exploded!

They fit so much nicer now that they're all folded.

The green cardboard monster:

Eventually I'd like to do away with this, and get another dresser to stack on top and put these items in. (Same for Hubbys side, he has about 574,835,732,980 Tee's and they do not all fit.) These dressers are a bit smaller than we thought, but I like the look of them, especially since the room isn't very big. I can't find them anywhere now though, so the green monster stays.

A completely empty space! YAY!

Not a vast improvement here on the dresser top, but it'll change again when the weather changes. At least the clothes are put away.

What I'm Working On (Craft)

 Hey Y'all!!

I goofed, and thought this was the How to Layer HTV blog. That's later this month, but it's mostly prepared, so I guess that's a plus!

Now to share what I've been working on this past month:

I worked on designing a shirt for my sister, her kids (especially her son) like to say she's a "mean" Mom any time she enforces the rules (like most kids). 

The finished product!

I had an order for more ShadowWolf Studios shirts.

After that I worked on touching up and clear coating this awesome find from the Habitat store:

Can't wait to get these outside! I'm thinking of putting spot lights or strobe lights in front of them, but haven't decided yet.

A few (more) shirts:

This vinyl probably wasn't the best choice, but it is easier to read in person. (SORRY I'm Late the floor was LAVA SVG from Design Bundles.)

This one is reflective (from Siser), like the strips on the safety vests, neat looking in the right lighting.

(Depending on what exactly your looking for this SVG and similar can be found most everywhere. I found this on Etsy, but do not remember the seller.)

My niece is full of sass, so this was for her. (SVG from Design Bundles)

This amazing SVG set is from Ruffles & Rainboots! PERSONAL USE ONLY! They have a whole collection of awesome SVG's, and I really enjoy the blog too.  The bleach thing is a work in progress, I feared leaving it on too long but it didn't get near as light as I expected, and at 20min I didn't want to push it much more. The HTV used was Glow in the Dark (Yellow) from Hobby Lobby's store brand. It get's mixed reviews, but I've always done really well from their brand.

QUESTIONS

26. Ideally, how would you spend your birthday? With family, doing whatever, and cheesecake for dessert.

27. What do you do on your commute to/from work? Listen to music, loudly.

28. Do you have a favorite type of exercise? Walking.

29. What's your favorite season and why? It used to be summer, but now I find it too hot. I love Fall, so many activities happen in the fall!

30. What's the best joke you've ever heard? IDK

31. What's the phone app you use most? Facebook

32. Would you rather cook or order in? Cook

33. Have your ever disliked something and then changed your mind? Yes, that's part of growth and learning. Plus tastes change as you age.

34. What's your favorite board game? I like the classics. Monopoly, Sorry, Clue, etc. The new kids games that are all about poop and boogers are just gross and pointless.

35. How do you take your coffee? 2 cream, 1 sugar, 4 pumps sugar free flavor for a large, but I drink water most of the time.

36 What's your most prized possession and why? My house I suppose. It took us awhile but we got here! We never thought we'd afford something this nice.

37. Is there any product that you couldn't live without? No, I'm sure there's plenty I wouldn't want to live without, but it's possible to live without most every 'thing'.

38. Do you sleep with a top sheet? Why or why not? Yes, it feels weird without it.

39. If you could have any exotic animal as a pet, which would it be? Nothing. They aren't pets for a reason.

40. What would be the first thing you'd do if you won the lottery? Pay everything off.

41. What’s your favorite thing about your current job? Flexibility.

42. What annoys you most? Idiot drivers.

43. What’s the career highlight you’re most proud of? Going from PT cashier, to FT management in less than 6mo.

44. Do you think you’ll stay in your current gig awhile? Why or why not? I plan to keep this up regardless, but I'd like to get into some brick and mortar shops too. I had a gig lined up, but the lease fell through at that location for the shop owner. I'll continue to look.

45. What type of role do you want to take on after this one? I own this, so just doing MORE is the goal.

46. Are you more of a "work to live" or a "live to work" type of person? Work is secondary, always.

47. Does your job make you feel happy and fulfilled? Why or why not? Yes, I love what I'm doing. I just need it to generate more income, but it's a work in progress. I just added new items to my shop tab on Facebook!

48. How would your 10-year-old self react to what you do now? Pretty cool! A lot of the things I've done are pretty cool. I've also had some pretty shitty jobs (looking at you Kmart). My only regret is letting my cosmetology license lapse after we moved (to TN from OH).

49. What do you remember most about your first job? It wasn't bad. I worked at what was then called Leggs Hanes Bali Playtex Outlet in an outdoor outlet mall. Saturdays were busy, but there was always 3-6 of us there, so it wasn't ever overwhelming. Looking back now, I'd probably be bored out of my mind. Other than letting someone in the fitting room, cleaning that up, and cashiering, and the occasional stocking there wasn't really ever much for us to do. The manager took care of everything herself for the most part. 

50. How old were you when you started working? 15, babysitting, I had 3 families. 1 was a weekly 2 day gig, Tuesday thru Thursday, I'd spend the nights. (Their dad got home around 10 and their mom got home around 12 and both were gone by the time we got up in the morning.) The (2) kids and I would hang out and play, walk to the park, the library, or McDonalds. They were pretty good kids, a boy 6 and a 4 yr old girl. Their parents paid for everything we ever did on top of my normal pay. Easiest money I've ever made. The other two were occasional weekend gigs.

September Every Day Makeup Shelf

 Hey Y'all!

I know I promised this Friday, but we were having electrical issues. I'm sorry!

A reminder for what I was working with July/August:

The clear gloss got a bit off looking to me and I tossed it, and the Cover FX drops have had their run I can't remember how long I've had them. They still seemed fine, but I'm ready to move on from them. I liked the product just fine, but it wasn't anything remarkable.  Other than those two products nothing else was decluttered or tossed.

September Shelf:

I know I choose too many palettes, but I really wanted to use only little ones this month. A lot of my smaller palettes are pinks, and nudes so I figured now is a good time to compare them.

I didn't pull many lip products, because I really want to get some use out of the Anastasia palette.

*Link is to where I can currently find this item, I would not pay $100USD for this. I'm 99% sure I got mine at TJ Maxx or Marshalls for around $20.*

I want to try to finish up this foundation and concealer. I really like the Cover Girl concealer, it's just close to being expired, and almost empty anyhow. Sadly it's the age rewind formula, and I can't find it anywhere.

Nothing new here. Barely made any pan progress on the Too Faced bronzer since I didn't reach for it a ton last month. 

Overall I think I pulled a good variety, and just a bit too much for the month. The goal is to use it all at least once, and I'm sure that's attainable!

August Looks!!

 Hey Y'all!

August started off strong, I was doing my makeup at least twice a week. My sister and I were sending each other challenges, and that was super fun! We didn't do it this past week though. We need to do it again, I like the challenge of doing something different. That combined with the EXTREME heat this past week meant I did my make up twice, but didn't take a picture either time. I didn't photograph about four looks in total. 

I'm going to share September's everyday shelf in a FRIDAY blog, I don't want to wait an extra week to share it with you, and I'm ready to move on to something different!

Here's August's looks:

Challenge Look: Recreate a TV show characters makeup. I chose Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls.. Early seasons when her look was all light eyeshadow and berry lips.

Challenge Look, If you got married today.. Wedding Makeup!

I remember this was a challenge look, but not what the challenge was... oops.

Challenge: Outside comfort zone, artistic but wearable.. I can't do even wings at all. I'd like to continue playing around, even though this did not go how I had planned in my head.

Fall Look.

This is kinda my everyday look when it's hot. Lip gloss and mascara.
