One Month Store Update!

 Hey Y'all!

I can't believe it's been a month already!

I shared my Jan/Feb set up in the previous blog. I forgot to take pics in the other areas of the store, it's all set up with winter/Valentine's items.

Some things she's implemented/shared:

The building sign is now up (today). The roadside sign has been up, but I've not taken a picture of it, they're very similar.

A 10% off Military discount.

Every Wednesday their is a 10% discount store wide, and she shares a picture of a vendors items with the "reminder" on social media each Tuesday evening.

She's also sharing on social media about each vendor, and their items, almost hourly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (Mine was on Dec 30th.)

The local newspaper is coming out this week and doing a story, and she's got a radio spot coming soon. 

On my end I see that she's doing all she can to drive traffic to the store, and us as vendors. A few times she has referred people to me directly to create something for them. It's a new venture for all of us, and it's been very slow going. I've made a few sales through the store, but it's not profitable yet for me, to be frank I'm in the negative as far as the store goes (with rent and her commission, etc). I don't know about other vendors, I've not met any of them. That said, it has only been a month. I'm contracted to stay through February, and I guess I'll evaluate what's happening and my plans going forward closer to that date. Currently I really don't know what my plans are.

What's New With Us?

What's new with us?

I've been working on store stuff for Jan/Feb.

I was running out of time to get these into the store so I just snapped some pics while packing them up, completely forgot to take pictures of the Mason Jar Drinking Cups. I still haven't used my lightbox I got for Christmas, but have plans for it soon.

Outside of store stuff I've been doing paperwork for all the businesses, made some business cards (for me), created a QR code for the store, and I've finally found some order forms I like:

I've also done some other items, shared on my Instagram or Facebook page.

Beyond Craftin' Wife's Creations I've been trying to clean up the craft room, it's currently ok, but not as organized as I'd like. 

We've had a few snows now, none in December, but two this month:

Snow #1 was barely anything at all.

By the end of this (2nd snow) we had maybe 1/2in. Far less than the original forecasts of 6+ inches:

It's been a very mild, rainy winter thus far.. (It's raining as I'm writing this.)

Beyond that Hubby is working on his  part time reseller business, it's doing well so far, and he's made a few really decent sales.  He's really into reseller YouTube right now.

His Mac Book finally arrived this past week, he was excited about that, and is getting it set up how he wants. He's also working on his game, all this while he works full time 2nd shift too.

I do not know how he sits like this.

We just celebrated my nephew's 10th Birthday in Pigeon Forge (Dave & Buster's, then dinner at CiCi's, and walking around some to play Pokemon Go). It was chilly, but we all had a lot of fun!

That's the catch-up! Other than our normal day to day life stuff.

I've also started something new I'm calling ReRuns (Upcycled Shirts). These are shirts that are not in brand new condition, but have tons of life left in them. Because they are upcycled, they are cheaper for me to purchase, but are still of great quality. I'm passing that savings on to you. They'll be posted sporadically, in whatever color, size, and design I choose. They will all be unique, and one offs. Prices for those will be $15 for any style/size. 10% of the profit on those will be donated to a local charity on a monthly basis.
