What I'm Working On...

 Hey Y'all!

This blog was planned before I knew about the store closing. I have been working on a few things, but this week I plan to:

Organize store inventory.

Decide if I want to keep anything.

Photograph items I want to list now.

List those items on various platforms.

Find storage solution for other items.

Plan a giveaway, or sale????

That said here are a few things I have done in the past month:

Printable HTV dark, on a shirt for my niece.

I think I like the for light fabrics better. It seems better adhered. I don't see this holding up as well, but we'll see.

Realized I never shared the finished product on these here!

Bad photo, and learning curve, but I learned some things with this, and Hubby likes it. I will make him a better one when I get the chance.

September Makeup Looks

 Hey Y'all!

I think overall I did well in September. As I said in the previous blog, I decided to keep both palettes I had pulled as potential declutters.

September Shelf:

Here's the monthly looks, in no particular order:

1) This was a challenge with the family. We all had one red, and one other color eye (mine was purple).

2) This is probably my favorite for the month, the blue & pink go nicely.

3) I really should do my brows more often.

4) Very Fall look. The weather had finally broke here, and it wasn't 90+ degrees.

6) I hope my lip didn't look that wonky IRL. Love the lip color though.

7) This one I could have chose a bolder lip, this one is pretty much my natural lip color.

10) Not really a look, but...  I was starting to get aggravated with my hair mid-month..

I didn't have any looks I really loved this past month, they were all just alright. I didn't really feel like doing much makeup when most of it was so hot.

October Everyday Makeup Shelf & September Mini Review

 Hey Y'all!

I had chosen a few potential declutter items for September:

I ended up really liking both of those palettes, the Lorac has a good variety in it's color story and I used it almost every time I wore makeup. The Urban Decay has a few really nice peachy tones, and I'm keeping it around to do some more comparisons, and then I'll make a final decision. Right now I'm not sure if I really liked it that much, or if it was so different from the others I pulled that that made a difference. I didn't pull anything from the drawers in September, except blush once or twice.

October's Shelf:

I did get a few items from the Makeup Revolution Beetlejuice Collection, but I haven't really dove into them, other than swatches. Would you like a review? Let me know in the comments below!

Other than the new items, I pulled a few new eyeshadow palettes, and that was it. I really want to work through a few products this year. The e.l.f. setting spray is especially close to empty.

2 new Beetlejuice Lipsticks. Lydia is a red, Beetlejuice is a nude.

New Highlight Palette.

New Eyeshadow Palette. I also pulled BH Cosmetics Pride & Prejudice & Zombies palette, as well as Hocus Pocus (First Collab) & Misunderstood (Disney Villains) palettes from Colourpop.

September Class, Show, & BIG Announcement!

 Hey Y'all!

As I had said before, I didn't have any signups for my class. However, for me the show went really well! My best yet, actually.

Even with the chance of rain I stayed busy most of the day, and was surprised with the weather (and no shows) how well the event did.

I knew the store had been slow... Extremely slow, in fact there were several days in September with no customers at all.

The closing announcement still came as a shock, especially when it's less than two weeks away. (We were told late Thursday night, via the vendors FB group, and it was announced publicly {on Facebook} on Saturday. The last day is the 13th.) She never mentioned to me the idea of needing to close, though she had mentioned moving (at the craft show), and asked if I'd stay a vendor since the location she was looking into would be even further from me. (I was leaning towards no, but needed more details if it were to come to fruition.)

I decided to go ahead and pull my items, since in the store I'd had no sales in the whole month of September. Of course as I'm finishing packing up a group of ladies came specifically for tee shirts. Another group came in for the first time, they just happened to notice the shops while driving by. Prior to that though I had been there close to 45min with no customers, so I know I made the right decision.

I wish her and all the other vendors the best of luck in whatever ventures they choose next! I don't regret this experience at all, and I learned a ton from it that I will carry with me moving forward.

It only took two boxes, and a bag for hangers, and small stuff.

I'm going to start pushing my online store options (go imagine, fb, etc.) and get the new listings up next week. This week I'm working on organization, and putting things away.

New Makeup I'm Not Buying...

 Hey Y'all!

Now's the time of year everyone starts releasing "new" stuff like mad. I think in the past few years they've started to realize Halloween is a profitable time, and Holiday shopping starts early.

Onto the new products I've come across & am NOT buying!

Smashbox Masters of Horror Cream Shadow

I like the artwork, and the theme. But I think the price is a bit high, and even if I was into cream shadow some of these colors aren't very wearable (for me).

Pleasing x Harry Styles x Marco Rubio

The packaging is a huge waste of space, and I just don't "get" the line. Also not a H.S. fan, so there's that.

Urban Decan Naked x Robin Eisenberg

First off I have no idea who this is. I do like the look of the palette, but I though the point of the "Naked" line was that they were muted colors/nude. Nude = Naked. I don't think UD knows their focus, or understands their own brand anymore.

I know I shit on UD a lot, but this is why... There is no way the model (artist) got this eye look using this palette. I am happy to see them doing something different though, so I'll give them points there.

Nars Holiday Collection

There's a lot of SSDD here. The palette is a bit heavy on the shimmers, and anyone who wanted that blush (orgasm) has it, and has had it for the past decade.

6) GlamLite Barbie Collection. I've never seen anything from GlamLite be good quality.

7) Patrick TA Blush Palette. Too rich for my blood. The glosses look real yuck for my skin.

8) Makeup Revolution Holiday Collection. Even if the brand weren't very hit & miss for me they're all nude & pink. No thanks! (However IF that green is pigmented, it's pretty. Just too big a gamble, and I have greens.)

9) Barker Wellness (Travis Barker) Anything. Can we say cash grab? HAHAHA no.

10) HipDot Care Bear Eyecon. WTF?! These are just silly. 

Bonus:

11)  Trixie Cosmetics Girl Talk Collection. I remember this game, my sister, cousins, and I played it quite a bit in the 90s. But this collection looks cheap/poor quality. I'm not loving the design, it's like they couldn't decided between 80s, 90s, and early 2000. (Out of those tween girl games we played Heartthrob way more than Girl Talk anyhow, lol.)

Heartthrob:

Classic early 90s "Girl" game. We really liked to make fun of the guys, more than choose a BF.
