What's in My Purse?

 Hey Y'all!

Today I'm going to share what's in my purse, and in my vendor/ craft show bag. Now that I no longer need feminine hygiene products, I have noticed I carry a lot less. In fact 80% of the time, or more, I just carry my phone. Either in the case pictured or in a larger wallet case I was gifted.

Here's what was in my purse today:

The bag is a Betsy Johnson, from Spring 2019, 2020?? I'm not sure. Currently I have the Supergoop ReSetting Refreshing Mist (SPF 40). Sun protection is important, everyday y'all! Next is which ever lip product I'm wearing for the day, today is IBY Beauty Gloss'd Up Lip Topper in CinnaBunny. (These are so pretty over lipstick or alone.) Next are these super cute retro style sun glasses from the kids at Christmas. Today's grocery list, super exciting! Obviously my phone is typically in the case, but I photograph with it. In the card slots are my ID, debit, insurance, and port info cards. Lastly I always keep a few business cards on me.

Sometimes I also carry hard sanitizer, which I keep in the car, lotion, spf lip balm, charging cable, etc.

In my bag from the last show:

Bag is a thrifted WDW crossbody. I'm enjoying this book, and had a lot of time to read at the last show- so I'm a little over a third of the way into it. Next is the parking pass for the venue (really wasn't necessary, but okay). Phone charger, also had an iPad charger with me- didn't end up needing either. In the pink case is my iPad, and square reader. The front zip held all the cash (change) I had for the weekend. I also had a hand sanitizer in here, but we used it up.

How'd The Craft Show Go? (Also, Health Update at the end of this blog)

 Hey Y'all!

Y'all....

Prep went pretty well, and I really didn't have enough to make a blog out of. What I did prep I shared on my TikTok. I still had all the inventory from the store, so I just added a few new things, and called that good.

It was more than enough.

Here was my set up, following the rules in place for the venue:

Friday I wasn't expecting much- with it just being open 2 hours. I just looked at it as time to set up & explore the venue. (Which was beautiful, but hard to find. Hubby took some pics of the farm I will share if anyone is interested.)

Expected attendance projections were around 1,200. Fine by me, I like the smaller shows. 

If I say attendance outside of vendors, non profits, and food trucks was 100 I think I'm being generous.

I made four sales all weekend.

 My neighbors, got 0, 2, 3, and 0. Not a great weekend sales wise. I did meet a lot of cool artists, and enjoy the scenery.

Issues?

I think the signage directions were too small and infrequent (until you were there, and the way was obvious, then there were more than enough signs). I think the advertising could have been better, other than Facebook ads, I saw 1 sign in town, and one at my local post office. 

I also know of other things that were happening locally that I'm sure affected our attendance. As my sister and I discussed, if something I was thinking about doing is too hard to find/too far out, there are plenty of other things to go do instead.

As a vendor, the communication with the event organizers was sparse. We didn't find out that we'd be in the barns & that electric and fans were included (and to bring a lock for the stall door) until Thursday. We didn't know where our spots were until morning of...

This was a first time event, and we all learned a lot from it, but I doubt I'll attend next year- unless they spell out the improvements\changes they're going to make.

 HEALTH UPDATE:

Y'all know, radiation was rough for me. Today was the post radiation PET scan. It was very much a Monday- The check in desk was busy, that alone took 10min, then another 20min wait for registration. I finally get called back and they couldn't find a vein, and I got pin cushioned a few times before they agreed to send for port access. Then upstairs for that, back down for the injection, back up for access removal. After that the 60+ min wait, at 12:40 ( over 2hrs later) I was finally ready to begin the scan. Fun times!

I did get the call from my doctor this afternoon around 4pm. He said, "Radiation worked, go celebrate!". Yay!! Just in time for my birthday (the 19th).

That's an average of 13 looks per month, not the best- but not the worst I've done either. June will be better... I say at 4 looks in 7 days.

Y'all... Hair style suggestions? Leave them in the comments below! (I think I'm going to leave the color alone, and let it slowly go back to whatever natural is.)
