June Everyday Makeup Shelf

 Hey Y'all!

It's makeup shelf time again!

Here's a reminder of what I was working with in (TooFaced) May:

I used every item several times, and I think I have finally found the right amount of products to pull.

I was worried that the Dew You Collection would be so great I'd hate that it's discontinued, and while I really do enjoy the foundation, and primer, the setting powder is just okay, and really doesn't work on it's own (without foundation). I still don't like the Better Than Sex mascara, so much so that I started using this Big Poppa from Wet 'n Wild that my Mom gave me, and I love it! Everything else here I liked just fine... still working on panning that Chocolate Gold Soleil Bronzer. I really like it, but I need to use up something, and I picked this.

Onto the June Shelf:

I left the Dew You foundation, but pulled the Bare Minerals powder back out, maybe I can finish it this year! I only pulled a few lip sticks, because I want to get some more use out of the Anastasia Lip Palette. I figured since I'm home most of the time, I can go about my day, and not worry about reapplying when it wears off, since it's near impossible to travel with this (from a mixing standpoint).

After this month I think it's time for these Cover FX drops to go, I've had them forever and while it's not empty it's down to less than half which is great for me!

Benefit Blush Palette, BH Cosmetics Festival*, Juvia's Place Nudes & Chocolates, Jeffree X Morphe**, and LA Girl Hey Hey Vacay Good Times & Tan Lines palettes.
* no longer available, but BH Cosmetics is good quality at a great price, link is to current collections.
** Jeffree & Morphe have cut ties, however if you look you can still find this palette elsewhere.

I think I did well, and pulled just the right amount again. I purposefully left out an eyeliner this go round, and will see how that goes.

100 Get To Know Me Questions (51-75)

 Hey Y'all!

Here's my answers to questions 51-75.

The questions can be found here:

100 Getting To Know You Questions

Next crafty blog is going to be a marker comparison on the 31st. Wednesdays Beauty Blog will be my June shelf!

51. Would you rather trade intelligence for looks or looks for intelligence? A happy medium in both is fine for me.

   52.
How often do you buy clothes? As needed, or when I find something super cute.

   53. Have you ever had a secret admirer? Well, how would I know?

   54. What's your favorite holiday? Christmas.

   55. What's the most daring thing you've ever done? Travel to Atlantic City from Chesapeake, where we were living at the time, w/ Hubby (before we were married) and MIL one weekend on a whim. Fun trip!

   56. What was the last thing you recorded on TV? Does anyone still do that?

   57. What was the last book you read? Still reading the Buffy Series, it's ok but I'm not engrossed in it.

   58. What's your favorite type of foreign food? I don't know if I've found it yet.. I love trying new things.

   59. Are you a clean or messy person? Messy.

   60. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life? Not myself, I'm not an actress, and hate being the center of attention. I could barely get through speeches at school, no way I'd want to preform on that level. So, who? I don't know. Y'all tell me in the comments below!

   61. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? Depends on what I'm doing. Anywhere from 5min to an hour or more.

   62. What kitchen appliance do you use every day? Fridge.

   63. What's your favorite fast food chain? Hmmm... Taco Bell I suppose.

   64. What's your favorite family recipe? Mom's Potato Salad.

   65. Do you love or hate rollercoasters? I'll ride some, but I am not as young as I once was, so some I just can't do anymore.

   66. What's your favorite family tradition? PJ's for Christmas Day.

   67. What is your favorite childhood memory? I have a lot, but the first thing that popped in my head was the goat/dog Christmas morning fiasco. Leave a comment if you want to hear that story.

   68. What's your favorite movie? Wizard of Oz I suppose, or anything horror, romcoms, Disney.. I just like movies..

   69. How old were you when you learned Santa wasn't real? How did you find out? 4th grade, so 9-10. I came into the bathroom from recess and was in the stall when the other girls were talking about how they found out. I asked Mom when I got home and she told me Santa was her & Dad. We kept it going for my little sister for several more years.

   70. Is your glass half full or half empty? Depends on the day.

   71. What's the craziest thing you’ve done in the name of love? Move 2 states away, where at the time neither of us had immediate family. Hubby had an uncle here that we saw occasionally, but he was a truck driver. Within 2 years both our families were here. His has since moved to Indiana, and while we miss them it really was the best thing for all of them.

   72. What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? Water, tent, food.

   73. What was your favorite subject in school? Cosmetology, or if you mean more mainstream, English.

   74. What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten? Gator. It was pretty good too.

   75. Do you collect anything? Yes, a few things. Tea pots would be number one, but I'm out of room currently to display any more.

Have a great day,

My Current Makeup Collection Pt 2 (Eyeshadow Palettes)

 Hey Y'all!

Here's my eyeshadow palettes! It was more than I thought, at 73. There are a few here that I'm thinking of decluttering soon, but not today.

The two drawers before:

I was trying to keep it high end in one and drug store in the other, but that didn't hold up when a few new ones were added. It should work now that I've rearranged and left room for what's currently on the everyday shelf (pictured below).

Too Faced May Shelf.

First I got them all out and separated by brand, and then a pile of palettes that I only had one from the brand (high end and drug store separately).

I started with Too Faced, since that's what I'm working with this month, and also the brand I have the most of. I didn't do swatches of anything, but I can if that's something you want to see. Just leave a comment below!

I did do inside pictures of each palette this time. I did this more for reference for me, and I'm sure I have dupe-able colors several times over.

Pineapple and Raspberry palettes.

Gingerbread & Salted Caramel.

Chocolate Gold and Chocolate Bar.

Chocolate Bon Bon & Clover.

Pretty Rich and Natural Mattes.

Just Peachy Mattes & White Peach.

Christmas 2017(?)

Christmas 2018 and HSN Exclusive Pumpkin Spice.

Next up is Tarte's Mermaid palette, one of their minis, and the Sephora Minnie Mouse.

Below are my Nabla palettes, Metropolitan and Secret.

Out of the two (Pur and Colour Pop) I think I prefer this My Little Pony. This festival palette is nice, I like the warm browns.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics:

Above is the Morphe collab, below is Jawbreaker!
Pro 2
Venice
Malibu
Mega Pro ?? & I Love Brunch.

Urban Decay is next, and honestly they're all pretty old:

Is it just me or has the brand gotten boring? They used to be the grunge, dark, go to brand.. now it's Naked everything (BORING).

Electric, Dangerous, Moondust, and ??? I can't remember the name, but it's discontinued anyhow.

Lastly in the High End Section are the brands I only have one of:

Above, starting at the top and going clockwise~ Smashbox, Zoeva, Marc Jacobs, Stila, M.A.C., Huda Beauty. Below is Storybook Cosmetics.

Starting out the Drug Store section is the one ofs:

This Ulta palette was a free gift with order my hubby got me Christmas 2019 and is shockingly fantastic!
Next up is LA Girl, LA Colors, Profusion, and Revlon Wonder Woman palette.

Following that is Colour Pop!

Above are Baby Got Peach, Mar, In a Trance, and Mint to Be.
Below are My Little Pony, Misunderstood (Disney Villans), and Hocus Pocus!

Next is Juvia's Place:

These are probably the best quality and color/pigmented drug store price eyeshadows out there!

Top~ Saharan 2, Tribe, Nubian 3 Coral, Zulu.

Bottom~ Berries, Nudes, Chocolates, Violets.

Last in Drug Store is BH Cosmetics:

Pride, and Prejudice, and Zombies. It's Me Rae Rae, Weekend Festival, and Galaxy. Below is the Zodiac palette, as of posting this blog it's currently half price!

The drawers all re-organized!

What are some of your favorites? What should I try next?

Which should I pull for June? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a great day,

100 Get To Know Me Questions (26-50)

 Hey Y'all!

My niece's 5th grade Graduation is today, so the Eyeshadow Collection Blog will be up Friday!

Today I'll share questions 26-50 from this post:

100 Questions!

   26. Have you ever had a nickname? What is it? Several, most used now is Enna. The niece started that one as a toddler, and it's now used by my whole family.

   27. Do you like or dislike surprises? Why or why not? Depends on what it is.

   28. In the evening, would you rather play a game, visit a relative, watch a movie, or read? Any of the above.

   29. Would you rather vacation in Hawaii or Alaska, and why? Both. They are vastly different, but equally beautiful. I'd love to visit both.

   30. Would you rather win the lottery or work at the perfect job? And why? Lotto. Then you can pursue what ever you desire without having to worry about money/pay.

   31. Who would you want to be stranded with on a deserted island? I'd much rather not be stranded, thanks. I guess someone who was skilled in off grid living, and had enough knowledge to know how to go about getting us out of there.

   32. If money was no object, what would you do all day? Travel constantly!

   33. If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to? Naw, I'm good.

   34. How would your friends describe you? As the absolute most awesome person ever, LOL.

   35. What are your hobbies? Read, Craft, Gaming.

   36. What is the best gift you have been given? Lots of awesome things. Trips are always top tier. But the best ever is Lu and Moo, I was an Aunt before them, but those two are <3

   37. What is the worst gift you have received? Is cancer a gift? 'Cause that sucked.

   38. Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Music.

   39. List two pet peeves. Willfully stupid people, and not using your turn signal.

   40. Where do you see yourself in five years? Who knows!

   41. How many pairs of shoes do you own? like 10.

   42. If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have? Invisibility, I think that'd be fun.

   43. What would you do if you won the lottery? Done said, TRAVEL! And pay everything off, pay off family members houses.

   44. What form of public transportation do you prefer? (air, boat, train, bus, car, etc.) Car.

   45. What's your favorite zoo animal? Um... I don't have one.

   46. If you could go back in time to change one thing, what would it be? Wasn't this asked last time? Nothing. It'd screw up the current time line and I am not messing with that.

   47. If you could share a meal with any 4 individuals, living or dead, who would they be? Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Gert.. Ask more questions about family, their growing up, etc..

   48. How many pillows do you sleep with? 1. Used to be two, but then we got better pillows.

   49. What's the longest you've gone without sleep (and why)? 30 something hours. Because when you're young you do dumb shit for fun. Like travel 12+ hrs (Yahoo maps was crap.) then stay up ALLL day to hang out with boys, LOL.

   50. What's the tallest building you've been to the top in? I don't know.

That's it for today!

Have a great day,

Craftin' Wife

Craft Room Update (What it looks like right now)

 Hey Y'all!

I finally finished the decluttering in here, and with exception of the closet everything is pretty much where I want it.

360 of the room, from my desk:

The tower of paper sits next to this sterlite drawer system of mostly cricut, siser, and craftables vinyl scraps, things that need scrapbooked, cricut cartridge's, and more vinyl & paper.

The closet mess, and stuff I'm working on currently.

I hate this printer, but not as much as the Kodak.

Sizzix dies! Ink pads. Planners. (I'm failing with the two planner thing..)

I like the cricut down here better. (It and the printed switched spots.)

Under the desk didn't change much. There is an addition 3 drawer under here, like always.

All my fabric paints are now up here on the top shelf of this unit. (The other paints are in a drawer under the desk.)
Soap making stuff, and paper finish out this rack. The drawers next to it are mostly card making/scrapbooking stuff.

The book shelves got an overhaul, much better and more room now! I've yet to go through this mostly stamps unit, it's a mess, but I know what's in there.

The Disney blanket is being used as a table cloth for the short table in the middle of the room. It went back and forth for a while, but I think I'm going to keep it in here.

One of these days I'll get to the closet clean out, today is not that day. (Tomorrow doesn't look good either. LOL)

If you'd like to know about/see anything in more detail leave me a comment below!

Have a great day,

My Current Makeup Collection Pt 1 (Face, and Lip Products)

 Hey Y'all!

Let's look at my current makeup collection! It's been a year since my last big makeup post.

Disclaimers:

I'm not trying to brag, just sharing something I enjoy. I also love seeing others spaces.

Nothing here was given to me by a company, either I purchased it or it was a gift from family/friends.

I do get rid of a few items, but this is not a declutter!

The stuff from this month's everyday shelf isn't included here.

I did a lot of swatches this time, so let's get into it!

Face Drawer:

Mascaras, primers, and eyeliners!

Items that I got rid of.

I kept all cream products, the Anastasia Beverly Hills is nice, as are the Sephora Cream Highlight palettes!

Highlight.

Yes, I do have 2 rainbow highlight products, and yes, I kept them both.

I thought these two looked similar in the pan.

Not so much once swatched.

I wasn't sure if these looked alike or not.

They don't!

The middle one will be a nice bronzer.

These 2 were decluttered. I am not messing with a tiny loose highlight.

The box had to go here, maybe now I'll remember I have these.

Multi-purpose palettes, I didn't swatch these, they were fresh in my mind.

SO MUCH BLUSH!

Here's another I thought look similar..

I may need my eyes checked, LOL.

My only purple blush is Lorac, but they currently don't have a purple.

These ended up being way more pretty than I thought.

The rest of my face products. Anything with an "X" was tossed.

All re-organized, and looking pretty!

The decluttered stuff.

Lippies:

I swatched every single one of these, but must have forgotten to take a picture (or accidentally deleted it) in the RED section.

All the lipsticks!

Fun colors.
I kept all of these, but one.

I forgot to edit it, but I got rid of the TooFaced Unicorn Tears it was passed time.

Nudes:
Lots of nudes.

The circle color indicated the section these were moved to. I felt they fit more there than with the nudes.

Purples:

I felt these two were way to "samesy" so I decluttered the Urban Decay.

Pinks:
There is a picture missing here too, of all the pinks together.... I know I took the picture, so I don't know what my phone did with it.

Moved to the nudes.

That one (TooFaced Melted...) was not quite right, so it got trashed.

Reds:

Red, reds:

This is where the swatch picture should be...….

This Ulta and the Stila were very similar, color and formula wise. Good to know, but I currently don't need both.

Burgundy:

The color was a bit different this time, but I don't wear red often enough to need both.

Orangey Reds:

These are all very alike, and I just didn't need them all.

Decluttered from the lip category overall:

I got rid of a few things, and I'm happy with what I've kept so far. I know eventually I need to really go through the nudes and do a declutter, but they all fit in their case, so I'm good with it currently.

Next  Beauty Blog (May 19th) is my eyeshadow collection! EEK!
