What's New In Beauty?!

 Hey Y'all!

Is it just me, or does it seem like there really isn't anything new or innovative happening in beauty? There are a few releases from several brands so far this summer, but it all seems a bit SSDD (same shit, different day).  It does seem like there are less releases this year, but maybe that's because I've quit paying attention.

Everyone has done the bright festival colors (eyes & lips), the rainbow palettes, the tan, pink, teal combo, the bright blues... I'm ready for something new (or even revisited, just not from 6 months ago), and I haven't seen it. 

Skincare is similar, though I still find a ton of products I haven't tried, and have few I love, so I don't get as frustrated with it. 

Maybe there's a really inspiring brand or creator I'm missing, so please share!

What are your thoughts? Any Summer makeup you're buying? A must have I'm missing? Let me know in the comments below!

What would I like to see?

1) Possibly "medium" highlight. Something less than blinding, but more visible than a slight reflection. In colors beyond silver, gold, and pink. 

2) More multifaceted eyeshadow shades in general, and in a palette, with far less nudes. We all have more nudes than anyone needs at this point. The BB's who want nudes aren't getting the "fun" palettes anyhow, and there are plenty of all nude palettes. We all have at least one of those as well.

3) More shades in tinted moisturizer. Most brands have 3-6 and that's just crazy.

4) More fun colored lipsticks. (Various shades.) It seems like all that's currently available is either dark, or neon. Where are the shades in-between? I know it's doable, and there's definitely a market!

5) Shipping cost that aren't ridiculous. It doesn't cost $9.99 to ship a lipstick. I'm fine with paying top dollar for a quality/hard to find products, but I'm not paying for crazy shipping costs. Really, add a dollar or 2 to every product and offer free shipping, I'd be a loyal customer forever. I know others feel the same.
