Two Parter- How To: Infusible Ink Markers & Can You Use Copy Paper?

 Hey Y'all!

In todays how to we'll be using Cricut's Infusible Ink Markers, with standard copy paper, on a canvas crossbody bag....

Is it possible, with good results?

I'll let you decide. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below!

Supplies:

Cricut Infusible Ink Markers

Copy Paper

Canvas Bag

Heat Tape

Cricut

Heat Press (your heat source must be able to reach a temp of 400 F)

How To:

1)Fresh canvas!

2) Go to images, pick one!
I chose this one-

3) Change the operation type to Draw.

4) Separate your layers, and choose your colors.

5) Click Make. Mirror! and prep your material (copy paper in this case, laser printer paper is suggested).

6) Continue, and follow on screen prompts!

That was easy!!

Will copy paper work?!?

It's what I had on hand, so we'll give it a try...

It works well here, and draws on the copy paper well.

So far, so good!

Application-
Line up the design on the canvas bag, tape it down, and apply the heat.
I did a total of 70sec at 375.

In my trial run I used copy paper on cardboard, and it worked really, really well. Even if using laser paper I'd suggest a trial run on the material you're wanting to apply it to.

On canvas? Eh, I'm sure it's a combo of material (canvas bag) and copy paper vs laser paper.

It turned out meh.
Much lighter than I thought, and the blue text is a bit muddled- I think there are two factors here 1) copy paper 2) the texture of the bag.

I think I need to get some laser printer paper and try again.

Have a great day,
