Hey Y'all!
I know I left ya in the lurch, with no explanation. The first week of July we decided fairly last minute to travel to Indiana, to visit family, look at SIL's van, and hubby's brother had one sitting that we looked at too.
We came home on Wednesday last week, and started up our second garage sale on Thursday (ran it through Saturday).
Both were minivans (A 2007? Chrysler Town & Country, and a 2000 Dodge Caravan) and really not quite what we were looking for, but we really appreciated the offer. It was great to visit family, and we finally got to meet our "newest" nephew!
On Saturday evening we went and looked at a big ol' Dodge van a few counties away, but it was a bit too rusted through, and we weren't thrilled with the mileage for the price.
Sunday we decided to check the local-ish small (used) dealerships, and see if there was anything worth being aggravated by a salesman to look at. One dealer had three decent looking vans, but wanted 5k, 6k, and 8k. All were unlocked (it's the small town south lol) so we were able to see interior condition and mileage on all of them, even though they were out of our potential price range.
When we got home, I started looking at FB again, and saw a 91 Chevy G20 Conversion in Bristol that had only been posted a few hours prior. I sent it over to hubby, and he messaged the seller. We went to look at it that evening. We offered $600 under her asking price, she said if we add another $100, it was ours, if not she had 5 more people lined up to look at it.
We bought the van:
Pre Wash...
Monday we spent gettin' her legal, and washed, oil changed, tires, etc.
Tuesday (yesterday) we spent in the basement cleaning up, and getting ready for another yard sale. Today we took a break and went out to my sisters to swim and relax in the hot tub.
