December Makeup Shelf (Plus October & November Looks)

 Hey Y'all!

I been working with the items on the October Shelf a long time, and I'm ready to switch it up! Admittedly I didn't wear makeup a ton these past two months, however I'm still ready for a change.

I'll share the new shelf first, then we'll get into the few looks for Oct & Nov...

Hubby got me these for Christmas, so they're on the December Shelf:

The rest of December's Shelf:

In addition to the TooFaced, the Winnie the Pooh (Taste Beauty) palette was also a gift from hubby. He got it at Marshall's, simply because it's Winnie the Pooh. We'll see how it preforms.

The rest of this I've used before...

Hubby said the Lip Injection was a gift with purchase, I do like the color, so we'll see how that looks on my lips coming up!

Next October & November Looks:

Books! What I've Been Reading

 Hey Y'all!

I accidently swapped Friday & today's blog... no big deal.

I've already mentioned a few times in previous blogs I'm currently working on the Landry Series by V.C. Andrews.

The Landry Family Series[edit]

This series of novels focuses on the Landry family: Ruby Landry, her daughter Pearl, and Ruby's mother Gabrielle (referred to as Gabriel in Tarnished Gold). The novels, set in the Louisiana bayou, were published between 1994 and 1996.

  • Ruby (1994)
  • Pearl in the Mist (1994)
  • All That Glitters (1995)
  • Hidden Jewel (1995)
  • Tarnished Gold (1996)

I've only finished the first one, and this is the first time I've read anything by V.C. Andrews. I was a bit worried about the direction it was going there for a minute IYKYK (and spoiler to myself it does in fact go there in the next book I believe from what I've seen online). So far I really liked book one, and need to get back into reading the rest. With travel, and then everything else I haven't read much this past month.

Beyond the normal stuff (magazines) I haven't read anything lately. I'll do better in December!

Any book recommendations? Share them in the comments below.

Have a great day,

Happy Thanksgiving- Enjoy A BF Deal.. or 2!

 Hey Y'all!

Before I share about our Thanksgiving yesterday, I wanted to share two Black Friday Deals!

One is Love SVG, and I am an affiliate with them, so I do make a little something if you use my link for purchase. They do have a TON of freebies, but this one is 50% off the lifetime commercial license!

My Link: https://lovesvg.com/ref/CraftinWIfe/

The Deal:

Second is with I.B.Y. Beauty, 30% off sitewide & free shipping on orders over $49! I was a brand ambassador here, however the program seems to be on pause (still love the brand). My coupon code for 25% off does work though: CraftinWife25.

My link: https://www.ibybeauty.com/?rstr=CraftinWife

The deal:

Our Thanksgiving:

I, as usually, took no pictures.

We definitely had too much food:

Ham, Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Rolls, Cranberry, 2 types of Stuffing, a Cheese and Crackers plate, a Charcuterie board, Chips & Dips, Shrimp Cocktails, Banana Pudding, Apple & Pumpkin Pies, a variety of wines.... & I'm sure I missed something. We all took lots of leftovers home, for sure. (Except for wine, we finished that!)

We ate too much, laughed freely, and talked loudly. We played board games, shared stories, and just enjoyed getting together.

That's what this holiday is for us.

Have a great day,

What's in My Bag?

 Hey Y'all!

I thought this would be a fun easy blog for today, enjoy.

What's in my bag?

The bag I'm currently carrying is from Wet Seal, but I picked it up at Am Vet's Thrift Store for around $3.

First, the small front zip section I keep any change, it then gets added to the pig (Piggy Bank) when I get home. The snap section usually has nothing, it's kind of a pain to snap shut.

In the middle zip area I keep my keys, and currently there's an Emergen-C packet in there from the freeosk at Sam's Club.
I also keep the days receipts in there...

In the main section I have my phone, which isn't pictured because that's the camera I use. There's a mask in there for doctors appointments if needed, a tissue, the card of the tow company we used in KY, book two of the series, some cough drop wrappers, fortune cookies, a pair of earrings...
...and my wallet.

Sometimes there's more, sometimes less. What's in your bag right now? Share in the comments below, or tag me on social media!

How To: Paper Craft Thanksgiving Placemats

 Hey Y'all!

Today we'll be creating cute, yet simple Thanksgiving Placemats.

Supplies:

Cricut

Cricut Pens (any color)

Paper/Cardstock

Adhesive of your choice

I used two FREE images for this project. Unfortunately I forgot to save the details for the bottom scalloped circle image, and after a good 15min trying to find it in design space again I gave up. There are plenty of images similar to this one... and even it is up there somewhere.

The leaves:

Once I added both to my canvas I ungrouped the leaves, and hid the score lines. I then began working with them individually.

On the leaves I typed out each name, and then manipulated it to fit where I wanted.

The font I used is Hey Butterfly, and can be found here:

I typed out the word Thanksgiving, and centered that on my placemats.

One that was done, I started planning the leaf placement for each.

Now it's ready to MAKE.

In the planning phase I hadn't decided what color pens I was going to use. Since I'm mostly packed up in the craft room I decided to use the left over pink sticker cardstock from a previous project instead of red. I have a huge 12x12 paper stack out and this paper was the most neutral. So, instead of the black pen shown on screen I went with a green glitter and a metallic gold.

Paper is on the mat and pen is loaded in the machine!

This cut on Paper- very easily. No bits were hung up, or uncut.

The leaf I cut (on the Air2) on Heavy Cardstock setting. That seemed to work out well. It did cut all the way through, but this was simple enough to easily peel the backing off.

Adhere the two pieces, and you're done!

Glitter Gel Pen in Kelly Green
