How- To Card Making

 Hey Y'all!

I wanted to share how to make a few simple cards today!

1) Birthday Card

2) Christmas Card

3) All Occasions Card

4) Fall Card

5) Halloween Card

Supplies used in all cards:

Cardstock (paper) or premade card base & envelope set.

Stickers

Envelope Maker (Punch Board)

Stamps (Wood or Acrylic)

Ink Pad

Scoring Tool

Paper Trimmer

Paper Punch/Corner Rounder

Markers

Colored Pencils

Scissors

Die Cutting Machine (Sizzix, Cricut, & Silhouette, are the ones I have. If you'd like a blog/video comparison on them let me know in the comments below!)

ATG (or double stick tape)

Xyron Sticker Maker

You don't need all of this to make a card. I started with some paper, an ink pad, and a few stamps, and a pair of Dollar Tree scissors (I now use them for yarn, or ribbon). Others start with a card kit like these, by Anna Griffin.

There are no rules in card making (or crafting) just have fun!

Possible Step Ones:

Step #1A~ Pick your cardstock base color, & measure it to size. I use the ruler attached to the paper trimmer for this. Cut, and the fold. This is where the scoring tool(s) come in, but I usually just fold it and smooth it down manually. Use Envelope Punch Board, per manufacturers instructions, for correct envelope size.

Step #1B~ Get you premade base out.

Step #1C~ Pick a cardstock, start up your die cutting machine. Choose the file, or die(s), you'd like to use. Follow machine instructions to complete card/card base, and envelope.

( I can do a step by step of this in the future if you'd like, let me know in the comments below!)

Step Two:

Choose what you want to do next.

Stamp? Coloring? Paint? Stickers? More die cuts? All the things? There are no wrong answers. Be creative! Do whatever strikes your fancy.

If you want a more in-depth in how-to each option let me know! I'd be glad to go over all of them in the future.

Adhere the layers with the ATG or make each piece a sticker with the Xyron.

Step Three:

Admire your completed card!

Let me know what else you'd like to know about card making!

Have a great day,
