Today's Questions~

176. Do you believe in astrology? Why or why not? Not really, I don't believe your birthdate has much to do with your personality. I think certain things fit, but most astrological signs could share traits similar to one or more of yours as well.

 

177. Have you ever lost a friend? If so, what happened? Yeah, we just grew up & grew apart.

178. If you could only teach one thing to your (future) child, what would it be? N/A. But I'd say be true to yourself.

179. What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done, and why did you do it? Chemo, because the outcome with treatment was pretty darn good. It was still scary as heck though.

180. Do you believe in second chances? To a point, depending on circumstances.

181. Where do you get your news? I try to avoid it, but usually social media. If it's something I'm interested in knowing more about I'll look it up.

182. What is your biggest irrational fear? Heights. But only situationally. I'm not climbing the tower, or flying, but I'll stay on the 20th floor, climb the mountain, ride the rollercoaster, etc.

183. Are you active on social media, or do you prefer to be more private? Active, as a small business owner it's necessary.

184. What is your definition of success? Doing what you love, having fun doing it, and being able to pay all the bills with a bit left over.

185. Are you an organ donor, and how did you come to that decision? I would, and hubby knows this, but it's not on any official document. I'd also donate my body to science, that seems kinda cool. How did I come to the decision? I don't need them when I'm dead. It's fairly simple (depending on your beliefs).

186. Do you believe you should do one thing a day that scares you? No, how's that even possible? Unless your scared of everything, in which case you'd need therapy to overcome most of that trauma and fear.

187. What, if anything, do you think happens after death? I haven't really decided yet. I like the idea of heaven, but if heaven exists hell must too. What kind of sin sends you to hell?? For eternity.. In some cases absolutely, in others seems way too harsh. I'm not the judge here, but isn't God supposed to be forgiving? But then what's too forgiving? Not forgiving enough?

189. What line should someone never cross with you? Don't mess with me or mine & you'll be fine.

190. How do you define beauty? Something that sparks joy, happiness, good vibes, etc.

191. Do you believe in life on other planets? No, but also.. there's a lot out there we'll never know about.

192. How do you interact with someone who disagrees with you? Change the subject, leave the conversation, and move on. 

193. Do you think our dreams have hidden meanings? Not really, I believe occasionally maybe. Mostly I think there just stories we tell ourselves, like campfire stories, so we don't just check out completely while sleeping.

194. When you want to give up, what keeps you going? Family.

195. Do you live by any words of wisdom? No.

196. What's the first step you take in trying to achieve a new goal? Write it down.

197. How do you turn a “no” into a “yes”? Explain why you feel the way you do/why it's important to you. Sometimes it's a no, and that's ok too.

198. What do you do to overcome a personal setback? Set a new goal and move on.

199. Is it easy for you to accept help in achieving your dreams? Not really, I'm pretty independent when it comes to that. And I prefer to do a lot solo, I'm not much of a people person, and have always hated group projects.

200. If you could do anything, besides what you're doing now, what would you do? I think it'd be cool to work for/learn from the BIG craft retailers/craft spaces.

Hair Cut Ideas... HELP ME Decide!

 Hey Y'all!

I need help! I'm trying to decide on a cut/style. I plan to keep it through the Summer at minimum. I guess I'll start off with what my hair looks like now. 

(Reveal will be posted next Wednesday, the 15th.)

These first few are when I actually do something with it. The last couple in the green tank top are from this morning, so excuse the no makeup/half asleep look, but this is a 360 on what my hair naturally does.

Give me your thoughts... should I leave it alone?

Here's why I'm looking for a new style- it's hot, this "new" hair is way more than I'm used to. It's thick, and heavy, and currently not in any kind of shape/style. This is mainly because I was waiting for the top to be long enough to do something with, and I hadn't really decided what I wanted. (Still haven't!)

I do know what I don't want:

1) Totally shaved/extremely short all over.

2) Any kind of "Karen" style/cut.

3) Grandma styles.

I am open to any other suggestions!

Here's a few I was thinking about, and my thoughts on each:

Also, why are 90% of the hair images (when I searched "short hair for women") on google blonde, white, thin women?  Other people exist.

My hair will stay as is color wise, until after my Birthday camping trip... then I'm thinking pinkish.

My ideas~

What I like~  easy, wash & go style.

What I don't~  would grow out fast, especially the back.

This is similar, and has the same reasoning as the above.

What I like~ Cool factor, hair off neck completely.

What I don't~ Possible transition styles from this later.

What I like~ Easy to style, hair off neck.

What I don't ~ Possible "rooster feather" look of the top.

What I like~ Fun, cool.

What I don't~ The funky that that side would be growing out, especially odd looking with the rest so much longer.

What I like~ Totally wash & go, very cool.

What I don't~ Not as fun as the other styles.

What I like~ Ease, wash and go. Will grow out nicely.

What I don't~ Back may grow out too quickly for my liking.

What I like~ Fun, cool, easy to do, will grow out fairly easily.

What I don't~ May look too teenage boy for me.

Please help me decide! What do you think of these? Have any other suggestions, send them to me on any social media @craftinwife!

Craft Show & Store Update

 Hey Y'all!

The craft show went better than any of us thought. I sold several items, and got an order for a shirt. I also had several people take cards, so hopefully I'll get some more orders out of that one show.

There are shows scheduled throughout the summer at SMHC that I'll be a part of. In addition to those I'm thinking about several local shows, but have yet to commit to any. If you're in NE TN what shows would you recommend? Let me know in the comments below!

Store Update:

Last month was a bit slow, but prior to that it was rockin'. April was by far the best month I've had at the store. I sold several items, and had quite a few orders as well. 

Since things have really picked up for the store, and myself, I'll continue to stay. I don't pop in as often as I was with gas being the way it is, but I really enjoy being a part of this project. All the other vendors are fantastic, and so willing to help each other out, and Anita (the owner) is always doing something fun, and coming up with creative ways to promote the store (and the vendors).

She has an idea of each of us vendors doing a class on our craft, so I'm thinking on what to do for that. I'm not comfortable with other people using my more expensive equipment, nor do I want to tote it from home and back. I have a few ideas, but I'd love to hear your suggestions! What kind of crafting class would you like to attend? What would be your budget for it? Please let me know in the comments!

Our Summer Plans! (Fun Friday)

 Hey Y'all!!

Today I'm going to share our Summer plans! We haven't made a ton of solid plans yet, be we do have a few things we're going to be doing this season.

My 40th Birthday is in just over 2 weeks!!! WOW! That brings me to the beginning of our plans for the summer. We've planned a camping trip for the weekend, and my family is going to come out to Hungry Mother State Park on Saturday & celebrate. There's a ton to do, and I'm excited!

I have a few craft shows planned this summer, and am potentially teaching a class, hubby is working on releasing the first game very soon. Our reselling business could use some more attention as well. we haven't been listing as much lately.

Around the house we need to rearrange, and declutter the basement, finish the bathroom down there, pressure wash the house and deck, paint said deck (paint has already been purchased from Lowe's), and clean out the gutters. All super fun stuff.

We have loose plans to have another weekend trip (unknown destination), and a few day trips to parks, and the mountains. We'd like to do a waterpark, or a few pools nearby this summer as well. Beyond that we're fairly spur of the moment, and I'll post on social media as it happens!

I'm shocked at how well I did for May! I doubt June will go as well, less plans & far hotter temps mean I do my makeup less.
