Our Clothes Storage in a Van

 Hey Y'all!

It's been awhile since I did an updated clothes storage blog, and things have changed about 3 or more times since then. I think we've finally come up with a solution we're happy with. We can both keep about 10 days worth of outfits easily in the new dresser.

Our current spot. It's so quiet and peaceful here. It's also mostly sand, gravel, and fallen leaves, so the interior is definitely needing cleaned multiple times a day, and looking very lived in. 

Here's how we manage that:

We picked up this infants dresser in Ohio. Chris sanded it down a bit, then put a few coats of sealant on it. It's not perfect, but it serves our needs much better than our previous storage.

We dug out the umbrella in anticipation of the rainy day, and then decided it wasn't worth the effort for the short walks. Going to put it away now...

We put all of our items in these fuzzy bins I found at Marc's, for $12 for a set of 3. (The middle size is being utilized for under the bed storage.)

Mine are the pink, Chris' the green. At that time they also had a medium grey, and an off white.

Socks, underwear, and our bathing suits are in the small bins. The large hold all our clothes.

They measure about 18x15x12 (inches) for the largest size, and easily fit 7pr pants, 8 or so shirts, and 2pr of PJs, and a jacket.

We've found that overall rolling does take up less space, except for jeans- they're better folded.

Loungewear Favorites!

 Hey Y'all!

As you may know, I'm a big fan of loungewear, but now it needs to be a bit nicer than in our previous lifestyle.

Here are my 3 favorite pieces right now:

1) Joyspun PJ Set-

Cute, Comfortable, Cozy, and affordable. I really like most of the things in Walmart's Joyspun line. They've all been super comfortable and decently priced, while still maintaining good quality.

2) Halloween Monster Print Set-

So incredibly soft! I love the holiday/seasonal sets every time Way To Celebrate has a release. The affordability helps too!

3) ASOS Designs Loungewear Set-

I got mine at a thrift shop in Ohio, and it's so comfortable! Plus the pants are almost "pants" enough for running errands, and that's the best.

Fabletics Haul

 Hey Y'all!!

Fabletics got me! I had been looking for good leggings, and found a pair of Fabletics at the thrift store here locally. They were comfortable enough, I checked them out online, and then they sent me a link to the "outlet sale". The deals were pretty good, and including shipping I paid just under $10 a pair.

I wasn't interested in being a member, or VIP so this seemed like a good way to try a few styles.

 

I got 2X and 3X, I'm sure either will work it'll just be up to me to decide which fit is better. As well as which style...

I would never pay this much for anything really, but especially leggings:

Over all thoughts?

The black pair will probably be pajama only, I'm just not comfortable with that bum rouching. The maroon pair with the teal line looked itty bitty, but have an insane amount of stretch. Neither of those has pockets, all the rest do. They're all comfortable, and fit well, so I'm happy with my purchase.

* I started writing this blog on October 1st, then promptly started doing other stuff, and here we are at the middle of the month...

My Shopping Haul (From A Day Out With My Sister)

 Hey Y'all!

Since I wasn't around for my birthday my sister took me out for the day yesterday. (My mom & I are going out this coming Saturday, let me know if you'd like to see that haul too!)

First we dropped off my niece at color guard practice, then my sister had a doctor's appointment (I watched the bulk of the Little House on the Prairie pilot while waiting in the lobby.)

Once all that was done, we went to the local used book store, and she bought me these:

*She's also ordered book 3 of the Bridgerton series for me, it was cheaper online.

By then we were both hungry, and she treated me to lunch at Blue Moose Burgers. We both really enjoyed our burger and the atmosphere was nice. From there we checked out a few consignment stores before heading to the mall where she had an Ulta return, and we browsed around there before hitting up Forever 21's $5 sale, and I bought these jeans:

After that we left the mall, and headed to T.J. Maxx, where we were disappointed in the makeup section, but I did buy these:

To finish out our day we headed back to her house, and picked up some pizzas.

It was a really good time!

For shirts, I find I wear a lot of tee shirts, from everywhere- but my favorite two are Maurice's...

I can't find either one online, but one is a smiley face, with hearts for eyes and the words NO BAD DAYS make up the smile. The other is Indiana specific and says something along the lines of wish you were here.

All those items, as well as the rest I have with me, mix and match really well.

March flew by, we didn't see near as much Indiana as we wanted, we were battling colds, rain, and wind. Since we have family here too, it's an easy place to revisit- maybe next year.

Beauty Storage Solutions in the Van

I don't know why I made this a separate blog this month, because I have shared most of the storage in the van previously. Including most of the beauty storage.

Some of it is still inside the house, like my hair styling packing cube, and soap, shampoo, etc. Those items will go in the bathroom/first aid drawer.

The red box is first aid, cubes are toiletries and medications. There's also a few loose items like dry shampoo, hairspray, camp towels, etc.

Clothes Traveling With

 Hey Y'all!

In this blog I'll share all the clothes that are traveling with. If you'd like to see anything in detail let me know and I'll share it in a future blog.

All the laundry is done, and folded, ready to be packed up...

Most items from various thrift stores, or Walmart.

The maroon leggings and tan leggings are especially comfortable, have pockets, and are only $15 USD.

I'm taking 18 shirts, and 12 pair of pants. One dress, and 4 sets of pajamas. Most everything is mix 'n match. I also have about 12 pair of underwear, 10 pair of socks, and  bras of various type, a hoodie, as well as 3 pair of shoes. (Boots, sandals, and a pair of sneakers.)
