Clean & Declutter: Makeup Brushes

 Hey Y'all!

The makeup brush cleaning is looooooong overdue.

I've used them all far too many times/too long before cleaning. I really need to get rid of a few as well. My goal is 5! Let's see how I do:

Such a mess!

As y'all know we're still getting everything in the house packed up and ready to go, so everything left in the bathroom is currently on the counter.

Prepping the sink:

This brush cleanser from Ulta is almost empty...

any suggestions on a new one?

It didn't take long, I don't know why I had put it off until all my eyeshadow brushes were so dirty.

Now I wait for them to dry. I know there are drying racks, but is there any other drying options beyond waiting to air dry? Let me know!

So, declutters? 

I doubled my goal, and was able to let go of 10. Most of these face brushes I never reach for, so that was easy. The dual sided eyeshadow brushes are not my favorite, and the Anastasia one is horribly scratchy. I could probably declutter more eye brushes, but I do use them all.

Pack With Me: Kitchen!

 Hey Y'all!

We've been saving the kitchen packing for last, and keep procrastinating doing the packing we can.

 Obviously we can't pack up food, or all the cookware yet since were still using it, but we can pack up the cookbooks we want to keep, and the glass dishes, and Tupperware, etc...

Here's what the kitchen looked like before we got started:

We got all the books packed, most of the cookware, plastic cups, random kitchen items, towels, etc. We ended the day with a full bag of trash and several totes full packed up. We only quit because we ran out of totes, and the only thing left to pack up right now is all the glass (bakeware, and dishes) and cleaning supplies.

We're getting there!

Bathroom Packing & Declutter

 Hey Y'all!

Pretty sure packing will never end...

However this 2 part-er is going to just be one!

We started by clearing out the bathroom closet, and all the items in there. I had already done a bit of it with the last yard sale. 

After that we moved to the cabinets. One of us sorted through the medications, and such (keep/toss/pack). The other packed up the hair styling stuff we decided to keep.

More trash than we thought there would be..

Just about done here. Top shelf is going with is, same with the towels. The rest of the bottom shelf is trash.

They all look like this! All cleaned out!

Just one (full) room left, the kitchen. There's also a bit left in every room- like our computers, desks, etc.

So close, yet still so far away from done.

Nail Polish Collection & Declutter

 Hey Y'all!

I finally got to the nail polish. It's packed enough for now. It'll most likely get put in one of the bathroom bins, and I'll take 2 or 3 colors with me at a time when out on the road...

I did not do a count beforehand:

This is what I'm decluttering:

30+/- 

Some were just old, and needed to go. Some of the others I have too many that are similar. The glitters are just too chunky for my current likes. The pale pink is a decent polish, just not a color I gravitate towards.

What I'm keeping for now:

Probably still too many, but my goal was a single later in this basket, so it's not too far off..

Y'all, I did it, I edited it down some more after this and it fits as a single layer...

There's room for all the nail tools, and polish remover as well.

I definitely noticed a trend- I had quite a few mint green/blue shades, as well as oranges. What's your favorite nail polish color(s)? Share in the comments below!

Clean With Me: Look at This Mess, Packing & Decluttering All Our Possessions

 Hey Y'all!

This process is a lot of work, and a ton of ebb and flow. It'll look better, then worse so many times over the course of getting it done. I'd say we're about 40% there if I'm being optimistic, I'd like to be further but we have a lot of crap. Also, taking time out to take pics to post items for sale doesn't seem like it takes up much time but it does. So much time...

We decided to use totes, since what we are keeping will be in a storage unit long term. To us it just seemed like the plastic bins were easier to stack, somewhat weather resistant, and less likely to be gotten into by bugs vs cardboard boxes.

It's last week Craft Room and Living Room, and today's progress.

We have already gone through all our Spring and Summer clothes, as well as decided which blankets, sheets, etc we're keeping. We plan to leave all appliances with the house, and are selling most furniture. We'll keep our bed frame, dressers, kitchen table set, and my desk.  I'm pretty sure we'll need one of the bigger storage units they have locally.

I'm ready to be done with the mess and start travelling.

Lip Products (Makeup) Collection & Declutter

  Hey Y'all!

It's so incredibly hot here, so this is another quick one. Fast decision making was made today!

Reasoning:

Nails- I don't do anymore and my niece is into them.

Anastasia Kit- Still has some life left, may as well pass to my niece and let her use it.

Wet 'n Wild are new and I've not opened them so I'll pass them on.

Everything else was a bit old and "off".

Makeup Collection & Declutter- Face Products!

 Hey Y'all!

In the video, I quickly go through my face makeup and declutter a few products.

It was a scorcher y'all, and this old phone doesn't handle it well typically. Today it did better than expected, but whoa was it hot when I finished...

Eyeshadow Palette Collection & Declutter

 Hey Y'all!

I'm just going to apologize in advance for this video. I tried to film at a different angle, so you could see more. It didn't work. I couldn't see what I was doing, so at times you can't see the palette I'm trying to show. It gets better and worse as the video goes on, but I was not in the mood to re-film.

Everything put back in place. It all fits nicely!

Declutters:

I got 11 out of my goal of 12. So close!

A few from BH Cosmetics, and Wet 'n Wild, as well as one each from Catrice, Essence, Beauty Bakerie,  Mac, Marc Jacobs, & Too Faced.

None of these were bad, just color stories I either don't reach for or have others that do it better.

Keeps all put away (I did not count how many) and decluttered palettes up front.

Slowly I'll be going through all my make up, and probably revisiting eyeshadow palettes too. Tell me how you'd like to see those blogs formatted in the comments below.
