My Least Favorite Things (Currently)

Since I did my Top 3 Favorites, I figured a bottom three in the same categories may be interesting.

1) 

Mini Electric Iron from Dollar Tree~ I have no "craft in progress" pics for this because it didn't work. 

To clarify it did get warm, but definitely not hot enough to adhere HTV to any surface. I tried both cloth, and wood. It was a big no go. It didn't even work well for ironing the wrinkle out of the fabric during preheat. It may work for something like perler beads, but I'd just buy a regular iron for that. Doesn't even come close to comparing to the Cricut Easy Press Mini. Would NOT recommend! They can't all be winners.

 Pacifica Pineapple Bubbles Clarifying Mask~

It seems like this may have been discontinued (I can see why.) as I can't find it online. (I got mine from TJ Maxx.)

I never could get this to work right. Maybe it was user error, but it didn't bubble, but also didn't feel like a mask (or a cleanser). I gave it several tries, and it never "worked". It also didn't do anything for my skin, it felt and looked the same before & after. The scent was okay, but fairly overpowering. I've not tried anything else from the brand, am I missing something? Let me know in the comments.

Aldi Steakhouse Potato Salad~

We all tried this, and none of us liked it much. (5 adults, 3 kids) It seemed sweet, but also kinda like a loaded potato salad. The flavors just didn't combine well for our taste. We all prefer a mustard potato salad, and knew going in this was different, it's just not for us. If you like a semi sweet potato salad you may love this.

Not The Planned Marker Inventory...

 Hey Y'all!

I'll get out and share my marker inventory when we're not visiting family.

There's no way I'd want to spend that much time in the van going through all the markers and filming/photographing, and I definitely wouldn't drag them all in with Mr. Fingers, who's 1 1/2, or Goober who's 4. The 9 year old is currently getting in to drawing, and the oldest and only girl, 12 has been into drawing and crafts/art since she was little. 

Maybe some day the youngest two are napping, we'll get it all out and craft together.

My Favorite Things (Currently)

 Hey Y'all!

Here are a few of my favorite things...

I'll do a top three of my favorite things. one craft item, one beauty item, and one random item. 

In no particular order:

1) StarKist Tuna Bowl-

Surprisingly, we both really like these. Even more surprisingly we both think out of the 4 variations that three are great, and the Tomato Basil is only okay. We do these for lunch, especially on the go, quite a bit. They're cheap, compact, easy to store, and taste good. We always eat them cold, out of the pouch, with a fork.

2) NexGen Hemp Seed Oil Lotion-

We got ours from Dollar Tree, but it's not on their website. I did find it online for $6.

I like this because it smells good, is pretty moisturizing, and inexpensive. 

The oil provides good skin moisturization. Furthermore, oil has been found to be beneficial in the treatment of specific skin conditions including eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and acne rosacea. Favorable results likely relate to the GLA component of hemp oil.

3) Craftables Vinyl-

I really like all their products, they always are even prettier than pictured, cut and weed extremely well, and adhere with ease. I will always recommend their products to vinyl crafters. I also like that they are a smaller company, and are US based (in TN). Their customer service, and product knowledge is unmatched. I can't say enough good things about the brand.

My Current Makeup

  Hey Y'all!

I filmed a clip about the makeup I've got with me awhile ago, and that's what gave me the idea for this blog.

All my makeup fit's in this vintage travel case:

I do have my eyeshadow brushes in the Elmo case from the Sesame Street x Wet 'n Wild collection, and it too will fit in the case.

After the video I realized I cold fit even more, because of the lid style being lifted. In total I think I have about 16 lip products, and 30ish palettes, a tinted moisturizer, primer, setting spray, and powder...

Putting it all together:

Everything fits with ease. The only negative is that most everything has to come out to get to all the things I need (want) daily. That's not a big deal for me, it just means I'll probably get more use out of everything since it'll all have to be touched every time. So far I have rarely gotten the case out, but maybe that'll change lol.

Catch Up My Planner(s) With Me

 Hey Y'all!

I like to keep a planner, but haven't even opened mine since February. It was past time to do a little catching up.

We got these planners a few years ago in a Michaels Grab Bag, all of them were Recollections brand. (Chris also has a planner, but I didn't get it from him, I'm 99.9% sure he hasn't touched it anyhow. He always wants a planner, but rarely ever uses one.)

Things that have changed since that blog? I've really grown to like the layout. There's a lot of space for each days activities to be written out.

My (main) Planner:

I'm doing pretty well on my goals for the year, some are completed..

I just recently filled out this bucket list section, all are goals I'd like to achieve this year, except the first one. It's more a 5 year goal.

I've already ticked off a few!

Note to myself, a tiny bit of catching up/getting up to date.

This section is a bit impossible to fill out, every day is so different, especially the afternoons. Moving forward I'll skip it, like I do the daily goal tracker in the rear of each month.

I also still don't use the calendar format pages for anything. To do so seems redundant.

Figuring out the blog, and social media schedule:

For now that catches us up in my planner.

We've recently implemented the Budget Planner, but I think after flipping through it, and filling it in some for this blog, it's not quite what we're needing.

As I was flipping through it was evident this planner is more focused on earning/saving than budgeting. I modified the pages to fit my need as best I could.

After I filled this in we got the notice that our van insurance has went from $30 to $55 monthly, we decided to go yearly and save a bit of money.

My phone had one more month before it was eligible to switch to the yearly plan, so that's what that notation means.

 

I've shared enough, it's really none of your business what's in our Money Market account.

This is the page I feel is most relevant to us, and I could just as easily do this in any notebook, so we'll see if we opt to change this out and just do a budget notebook in the future.

Where are the Makeup Looks?!?!

 Hey Y'all!

So, where are the makeup looks??!

They're back, just not near as large as before. 

I missed doing makeup, but still don't do it more than once or twice a week currently. Sometimes because we aren't doing anything, sometimes because what were doing makeup makes no sense, and some days I'm just too lazy to drag it all out.

Here's the few looks I've done recently:

1) Fresh haircut too... not exactly what I was going for (never is) but this should grow out better, if I choose to go that route.

2) Blue hair, semi permanent (Pretty much gone already). 

3) 

4) Photographing in the campground winds at 9am proved difficult.

5) In the van = better pics, who knew?

Once or twice a week seems like a good goal for now. See ya in June!
